OFF THEIR TROLLEY: A group of grannies treated shoppers to a display of synchronised dancing – on shopping trollies.
Granny Turismo – who claim to be the world's first and only entertainment troupe specialising in formation dancing using motorised shopping trolleys – performed a number of routines at the Specsavers in Newcastle.

There was also face painting, balloon modelling and cakes up for sale, in return for a donation to the branch's chosen charity, The Peter Pan Nursery for Children with Special Needs.
Sophia Baker, head of fund-raising at Peter Pan Nursery said: "We're so pleased that Specsavers has chosen us as their charity of the year."
